Flash died, RealPlayer died, QuickTime for Windows died — but your videos in their formats did not. One pass turns them into MP4 that plays everywhere.

The formats time forgot

Every era of the internet left orphaned videos behind. FLV from the Flash years — Flash was switched off in 2020. RM and RMVB from the RealPlayer age. WMV and ASF from old Windows. 3GP from pre-smartphone phones. Sorenson-encoded MOV from early QuickTime — whose Windows player was discontinued back in 2016. The files still sit on backup drives; the players are gone.

This tool carries the real FFmpeg engine with the original decoders for all of them — RealVideo, Cook audio, WMV3, Sorenson, Cinepak, Indeo and more — running entirely in your browser. Old family recordings and downloads from 2007 are exactly the files you don't want to hand to a random website, and here you don't.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats can it read?
FLV, RM, RMVB, WMV, ASF, 3GP/3G2, OGV, old MOV and AVI variants (Sorenson, Cinepak, Indeo, MS-MPEG4), MPEG-1/2, VOB and more — the classic decoders are built in.
Why MP4 as the output?
H.264 MP4 is the most universally playable format that exists: every phone, browser, TV and editor opens it. WebM is offered for those who prefer fully open formats.
My file failed to convert — why?
Very exotic codec variants and DRM-protected files may not decode. If a file fails, it is worth trying once more with the other output format — and know that nothing was uploaded either way.
